Christina Landman interview on Rian (Kyknet)

Most people in the Dutch Reformed Church (DRC) will know Christina Landman for her controversial statements in the media (or at least that what the media wants us to believe!), her statements on pre-marital sex for elderly couples, polygamy that should be legalised in certain instances.  Stuff which I obviously do not support, but it should be said that I really do admire this lady and that the interview on Rian (which were re-broadcast yesterday – as it goes with South African television!) really inspired me,

Compromise.

Okay guys, the time has come for me to seriously start blogging again.  I’m so sorry for being so silent in the past few weeks.

 For those interested: the beach outreach was quite a success, the camp was combined with working at an orphanage in the afternoons – the double shifts we had to do was hectic and left little space for sleeping.

I started working in a congregation for my practical year which took some time getting accustomed to, in certain aspects I still need to fit in, but it is quite nice working in the congregation where I did my confirmation.  

Although I realised that being a minister in a congregation could be hard work, I don’t think that I knew how much work (and what in certain instances feels like sucking-up) was involved.
